Position Summary

We are seeking a mid-level Project Manager to oversee healthcare IT implementation projects for small to midsized healthcare facilities. This individual will coordinate project activities, manage timelines and deliverables, and work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful implementations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on healthcare IT project management experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage implementation projects from kickoff through go-live and transition to ongoing support, ensuring alignment with project scope, timelines, and client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and action items; track progress and follow up on outstanding deliverables.
  • Serve as a primary client contact, leading project meetings and providing clear updates on progress, decisions, risks, and next steps.
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams and healthcare facility stakeholders to confirm requirements, assign responsibilities, and maintain implementation readiness.
  • Identify and monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies; facilitate resolution and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Coordinate testing, training, and go-live activities while maintaining accurate project documentation and managing changes to scope or schedule.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of project management experience.
  • Healthcare IT experience managing or coordinating technology implementation projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead client discussions and translate technical information into clear, actionable updates.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, maintain detailed project plans, and hold stakeholders accountable for deadlines.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively with distributed teams.
  • Experience with Jira is highly preferred but not required.
