Project Manager

Summary

Oversee large-scale civil engineering projects, coordinating teams and contractors to meet budget, schedule, and quality targets in marine works like dredging and reclamation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating project activities, managing documentation, and monitoring progress.
  • Supervise the project team to ensure all activities meet the Employer’s requirements.
  • Oversee project completion within schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Report project progress to senior management and lead regular meetings to strategize efficient delivery.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings to address challenges and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Liaise with internal teams including Construction Supervision, Design, Project Management Support, and Contract Advisory to ensure cohesive execution.
  • Manage all phases of the project from design to completion, optimizing resource use and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with approved methodologies and procedures.
  • Maintain project cost/change controls and budget records.
  • Monitor contractor activities to ensure alignment with the project schedule.
  • Support change order estimation and assist in managing change requests.
  • Review contractor construction schedules and progress reports.
  • Prepare and review weekly/monthly reports on contract status, costs, and potential changes.
  • Assist the Regional Director in identifying business opportunities and supporting client engagement.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large-scale civil engineering projects, with at least 5 years focused on marine works (dredging, reclamation, rock works, wharf and jetty construction).
  • Experience in risk assessment, geotechnical and engineering works, environmental impact assessments, tender preparation, site supervision, and contract administration.
  • Strong technical competence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive “can-do” attitude.
  • Willing to accept project-based employment.
  • Willing to be assigned in Manila.
