Project Manager

Salary: Up to $165,000 + Bonus + Benefits

As Project Manager you will lead the implementation, integration, configuration and deployment of our customers operationally proven software solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead software delivery projects for our customer, working with technical teams, customers, subcontractors and global colleagues to deliver agreed outcomes on time, within budget and to the required quality
• Plan and govern delivery in a hybrid Waterfall/Agile environment, maintaining clear schedules, priorities, risks, dependencies, actions and reporting
• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of the In-Service Sustainment contract, maintaining service performance, delivery governance and customer confidence while progressively strengthening our customers New Zealand's service delivery practices

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience leading complex software delivery projects and delivering agreed outcomes across cost, schedule and quality
• Prior experience working for a software vendor or a software services firm as you will be joining a software / product focused organisation
• Experience applying project management disciplines in hybrid Waterfall/Agile environments, ideally supported by a recognised certification such as PMP, MSP or PRINCE2
• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build confidence, communicate clearly and lead through influence
• Experience coordinating customers, subcontractors and cross-functional teams in a busy matrix environment with competing priorities and limited resources
• Commercial awareness and confidence working with budgets, forecasts, delivery reporting and customer invoicing processes
• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience in software, technology, engineering, business or project delivery
• Familiarity with JIRA, Power BI and other project management tools would be valuable, as would PMP, ITIL or equivalent practical experience; where needed, we will support development in these areas
• Experience delivering into mission critical environments or intelligence or defence environments would be useful but not essential

To work within our customers environment you must hold or be able to obtain and maintain, a high level NZ security clearance meaning you will need to be a NZ Citizen or at a minimum a NZ Permanent Resident. This requirement is non-negotiable.
