Project Manager

About the Position: This is a Project Manager position with the Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District. You will lead the coordination and execution of communication and outreach efforts associated with the Department of Veterans Affairs John Cochran Hospital Replacement Program Mega Project. This landmark investment is one of the region's most significant healthcare infrastructure efforts, transforming the current facilities into a modern medical campus serving Veterans for generations.

Managing efficient and effective coordination of assigned projects.

Applying an extensive knowledge of management concepts, principles, methods, practices, and processes of engineering and science disciplines.

Negotiating and integrating all District functions, sponsor/customer needs, and other agencies' commitments in support of assigned project into a comprehensive management plan.

Coordinating the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental restoration, etc. for engineering projects of substantial scope and complexity.

Controlling and managing project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations.

Serving as the primary point of contact for projects assigned with sponsor/customer.

Leading efforts to develop and execute a strategic plan for outreach efforts, public and stakeholder involvement, and other public involvement initiatives to increase awareness of local impacted communities.
