PROJECT MANAGER

- Overall responsibility for the Project Department in planning, operations, cost management and human resource management/development
- Oversee all turnkey-based project work and selection/ management of sub-contractors to ensure project is completed on time through the Project Manager (local and overseas)
- Prepare and submit project plan, project progress and final reports to Group GM of Operations for submission to MD as part of the periodic management report
- Assist to prepare contracts, negotiate revisions and any other changes/additions to contractual agreements
- Plan and manage budgets
- Coordinate with other department managers within the firm to ensure that project is not delayed
- Monitor milestones and deadlines
- Analysis of data and information to recommend and ensure continuous process improvement
- Attend owner / yard meetings if necessary
- Escalate any issues to Group GM of Operations if needed
Qualification:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Marine engineering
- 8 years of work experience including substantial work experience in shipyards
- Experience in marine and offshore or industrial environment
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Resourceful and a strong problem-solver
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Integrity and a strong sense of responsibility
