Job Summary
Lead the daily operations and support of PayBCA and related systems, ensuring service reliability and effective business support. Manage vendor relationships, coordinate releases, and drive continuous improvement to align IT services with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of PayBCA or assigned systems to maintain service reliability and business continuity
- Lead warranty support activities by tracking defects, resolving issues, handling service requests, and coordinating follow-ups with outsourced vendors
- Plan and execute onboarding of new e-services to PayBCA, including requirements coordination, testing, implementation, and go-live support
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate business needs and enhancement requests into actionable work items for delivery
- Support user acceptance testing, clarify requirements, manage issues, and facilitate change management with business stakeholders
- Partner with Finance teams to support payment operations, reporting, and audit requirements
- Track budget utilization and expenditure for PayBCA support, onboarding, and enhancements, monitoring spend and escalating risks as needed
- Prioritize and manage enhancement requests to ensure alignment with business goals, system design, and operational needs
- Coordinate application releases, production deployments, maintenance, and system changes following governance processes
- Monitor and manage operational, cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance risks, escalating and mitigating issues promptly
- Oversee vendor performance and service delivery to ensure compliance with contracts, service levels, and quality standards
- Provide regular updates on system operations, risks, issues, enhancements, and onboarding progress to Deputy Director (Apps Services) and stakeholders
- Promote continuous improvement in operational processes, user experience, service delivery, and team collaboration
- Manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities, and operational issues independently
- Apply strong communication and relationship management skills to engage stakeholders effectively
Required competencies and certifications
- Experience managing enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of incident, problem, change, release, and service governance processes
- Working knowledge of Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) on AWS
- Experience with GitLab for source code management
- Familiarity with SHIP-HATS governance requirements
- Experience supporting payment systems, financial applications, or enterprise platforms
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related discipline
- Experience supporting budget and expenditure tracking
