Project Manager Water and Sewer

The Project Manager – Water and Sewer is responsible for leading the strategic planning, governance and delivery of Council's major Water and Sewer Depot project, a once-in-a-generation infrastructure development that will provide critical operational facilities to support the delivery of essential water and sewer services for the community. The role is responsible for ensuring successful project outcomes while also providing project management oversight and support for other capital works projects across the organisation. As this position has been established specifically to deliver this landmark project, employment is offered on a fixed-term basis for the anticipated project lifecycle of approximately three years. The role oversees all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery within approved scope, budget and timeframes. The role provides leadership across planning, design, procurement, contract administration, construction, financial management, stakeholder engagement, risk management and reporting, while serving as Council's primary project representative. The position is accountable for delivering outcomes that support Council's strategic objectives, operational needs and community expectations, ensuring the successful delivery of a significant and enduring asset for Council and the community.
