Summary

The Project Manager will lead development and optimization projects within the Wafer Inspection Optics business area, coordinating cross-functional teams to manage product portfolios and manufacturing processes. The role requires technical expertise in optical systems and strong project leadership skills to ensure projects meet budget and schedule targets.

Your Role:

  • Lead projects within the Wafer Inspection Optics business area and support BBP product management in the maintenance and expansion of a portfolio of standard and add-on products

  • Plan, structure, and execute projects aimed at optimizing and further developing products, product cost structures, and associated manufacturing processes, while ensuring adherence to targets, budgets, and schedules

  • Collaborate closely with product management, R&D, sales, quality, finance, procurement, and production—including across different locations

  • Lead a project team of approximately 5–10 members (including coaching, coordination, alignment, and facilitating the resolution of issues during the project lifecycle)

  • Represent the project and the products both internally and externally, including in dealings with the customer

Your Profile:

  • A successfully completed degree in science or engineering from a university or university of applied sciences

  • At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience, basic business knowledge, and project leadership experience—ideally within the semiconductor supplier or OEM sector

  • Solid expertise in managing development projects and a fundamental technical understanding of optical systems

  • A recognized project management certification (e.g., GPM) is an asset

  • A confident demeanor and strong interpersonal skills (including lateral leadership and networking capabilities), as well as a collaborative mindset and a customer-oriented approach

  • Strong technical aptitude enabling you to analyze and manage complex issues, an independent and structured working style, and the ability to navigate effectively in a VUCA environment

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, along with business-fluent English skills
