Job Description:

The Department of Library & Information Technology Services seeks a full-time Project Manager for a term of up to three years (contingent upon available funding and continued employment in good standing). The Project Manager, plays a key leadership role in planning and delivering the Workday Student implementation at Bryn Mawr College. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Library & Information Technology Services and working closely with functional leads, technical teams, senior stakeholders, and campus partners, the Project Manager coordinates work across functional, technical, institutional, and vendor teams to ensure clear plans, effective governance, timely decision-making, and successful execution. The role supports disciplined project delivery while fostering collaboration, accountability, and organizational readiness throughout a complex enterprise transformation.

Characteristic Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of the Workday Student implementation.

  • Own the project framework, methodology, and delivery approach.

  • Establish and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies across project phases.

Operational and Organizational Leadership

  • Coordinate work across functional and technical teams, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.

  • Facilitate structured decision-making and issue resolution across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, and expectations across project participants.

  • Support continuity of project execution during periods of organizational or leadership transition.

Program, Portfolio, and Governance Management

  • Contribute to PMO governance processes, including steering committee preparation and status reporting.

  • Align project execution with PMO standards, prioritization frameworks, and portfolio objectives.

  • Manage cross-project dependencies within the Workday platform and broader PMO portfolio.

  • Provide clear, consistent reporting on progress, risks, and decisions to leadership.

  • Use practical AI-enabled tools and workflows to reduce administrative burden, improve meeting follow-through, and support timely coordination across project workstreams.

Stakeholder, Vendor, and Partnership Management

  • Serve as the primary interface between internal project teams and external implementation partners.

  • Coordinate with functional leads representing key institutional areas (e.g., Registrar, Finance, Academic Affairs).

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support alignment, engagement, and accountability.

  • Ensure effective collaboration across institutional and vendor teams.

Change Management Partnership

  • Partner closely with Change Management leadership to align delivery plans with communication, training, and adoption strategies.

  • Support a coordinated approach to stakeholder readiness and institutional transition.

  • Reinforce alignment between project milestones and organizational change activities.

  • Participate in change management activities.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Experience in higher education or similarly complex, mission-driven organizations.

  • Significant experience leading large-scale enterprise system implementations.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.

  • Experience working with external implementation partners and consultants.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex project information for diverse audiences.

  • Comfort using AI-enabled productivity tools to support project coordination, documentation, and communication in a responsible and practical way.

  • Successful completion of satisfactory background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Platform or comparable ERP systems.

  • Experience with Workday Student or comparable student information systems.

  • PMP certification or coursework.
