Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking a certified, hands-on Project Management Manager (PMP) to lead the end-to-end execution of engineering initiatives within our manufacturing facility.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between structured corporate project governance and the physical realities of the factory floor. You will be responsible for ensuring that production line modifications, equipment installations, and facility upgrades are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget, without compromising ongoing plant operations.
Key responsibilities
- Singapore Regulatory Compliance: Navigate and secure necessary statutory clearances from local boards (e.g., NEA for pollution/hazardous substances, MOM for workplace safety/pressure vessels, SCDF for fire safety/PCD licenses, and PUB for water/trade effluent).
Change Management and Lean Champion:
a. Execute Change Management Programs
b. Identify and execute LEAN Initiatives to promote operational efficiency and cost savings.
c. Drive the Culture of Change in the organization.
Organizational Project Management and Execution:
a. Identify organizational wide areas of improvement and opportunities.
b. Perform feasibility study reports.
c. Lead Organizational Transformation which focuses in automation, QOL (Quality of Life), and digitalization using cost effective approach.
Driver of Excellence:
a. Lead organizational breakthrough by improving and expanding product streams to support revenue growth.
b. Continuous monitoring and improvements of all companywide initiatives to meet company KPI.
Budget, Procurement & Scope Control: Rigorously manage project budgets, track cash flows, evaluate technical bids, manage scope creep, and negotiate contracts with local and international vendors.
a. Identifying and planning new improvements and automation onto our internal processes
b. Cost and schedule management on improvement
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
Minimum of 6+ years of project management experience specifically within a process plant, chemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or heavy manufacturing environment.
MUST HAVE: Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional),PRINCE2, or equivalent qualification
Experience managing complex engineering projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities such as proven track record of successfully delivering capital projects within the Singapore regulatory framework (MOM, SCDF, NEA, BCA).
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to motivate and guide team members
Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting is highly desirable
Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations applicable to engineering projects would be advantageous
