Our client is a large NSW Government department supporting primary industries, regional communities and economic development across the state. The broader organisation employs close to 5,000 people, with a significant workforce based throughout regional NSW.
This opportunity sits within a finance, performance and reporting environment responsible for improving how business and financial information is captured, analysed and presented. The team uses MyOutcomes, a business intelligence and financial reporting solution built on the CALUMO platform, to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting and data-driven decision-making.

About the Role
This is a hands-on development and reporting role focused on enhancing a key financial and business intelligence platform. You will build data cubes, integrations, dashboards and reporting solutions while helping users get more value from their data.
The position combines development, data integration, analytics, testing and stakeholder engagement, making it well suited to someone who enjoys working across both technology and business teams. The underlying role also covers systems development, integration testing and technical documentation.

- Working Arrangement: Hybrid, minimum 3 office days
- Hours: 35 hours per week

- Design and develop new MyOutcomes data cubes and integrations
- Build dynamic reports, dashboards and reporting bundles
- Enhance platform functionality, usability and performance
- Analyse data and deliver insights for business decision-making
- Investigate data issues and troubleshoot reporting problems
- Develop and test system integrations and enhancements
- Perform data validation, reconciliation and quality checks
- Support testing, defect resolution and production releases
- Automate reporting and improve existing business processes
- Maintain technical documentation, user guides and support materials
- Deliver user training and ongoing technical support
- Work with Finance, ICT, data teams and business stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into practical reporting solutions
- Monitor reporting accuracy and resolve data anomalies
- Identify opportunities to improve controls, workflows and user experience
About You
You will bring a combination of BI development, reporting and data problem-solving capability, along with the communication skills required to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience developing BI, analytics or enterprise reporting solutions
- Experience with CALUMO, MyOutcomes or similar reporting and planning platforms highly regarded
- Strong understanding of data cubes, reporting structures and data integration
- Experience developing dashboards and management reports
- Sound systems development, testing and troubleshooting capability
- Experience with data validation and reconciliation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience preparing technical and user documentation
- Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience within finance, government or complex enterprise environments advantageous
- Power BI, SQL, Excel or comparable data and reporting skills highly regarded
- Experience with automation and continuous improvement initiatives advantageous
- Valid Australian working rights required
