Project Performance Engineer
Summary
Engineer manages project financials and invoicing for an engineering consultancy, tracking costs, budgets, and performance using Excel and Oracle ERP.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Engineer to support project setup, financial tracking, and invoicing processes within our engineering consultancy environment.
This role is ideal for candidates who are comfortable working with project data, enforcing process discipline, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate financial and operational performance across design and supervision projects.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage project-related data, including project codes, financial records, and resource data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality in line with consultancy standards.
- Support project invoicing, cost tracking, and collections in alignment with contract terms. Liaise with Finance to ensure proper revenue tracking and compliance with financial procedures.
- Assist with operational/control project setup activities, including project code creation, budget allocation, and tracking of contractual variations and amendments.
- Generate and analyze reports related to project performance, reconciliation, invoicing status, cost tracking, and operational KPIs, for management review.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures; stay informed on relevant regulations impacting operations.
- Identify operational or project-related inefficiencies and support decision-making through structured data-driven analysis.
- Assist with audit-related activities by preparing required documentation, verifying records, evidence gathering, follow-ups, and ensuring traceability of project and financial data.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience in operations, project coordination, engineering consultancy, or finance-related roles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (design, supervision, and finance)
- Experience with project invoicing, cost control in engineering, or consultancy environments.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation).
- Exposure to Oracle ERP Project Management (PPM/Projects) module is an advantage, including project setup, cost tracking, and invoicing support.
