Project Portfolio & PMO Analyst

Summary

Supports project portfolios by tracking performance, planning resources, and ensuring governance and risk management for multiple projects.

Salary: £36,000 - 39,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Previous commercial experience in a PMO, Portfolio Analyst, or Project Support role.
  • A strong appreciation for project assurance, governance, risk management, and benefits definition and realisation.
  • Experience with performance tracking, resource planning, analysis, modelling, forecasting, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Experience with project management tools, lifecycle, delivery, methodology, and systems.
  • Experience with project documentation, standards, and process.
  • Ability to work under pressure in an environment with constant change and operational demands.
  • Experience with MS Project, Teams, and Excel.
  • PMO Analyst experience, or experience of the full portfolio lifecycle, providing analytical services within a PMO that supports a large, complex portfolio of technical and business change projects.
  • Professional certification such as PRINCE2 Foundation, APMP Foundation, MoR, and/or P3O Foundation.
  • Knowledge of the P3M3 framework.
  • Experience providing constructive challenge and building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational and facilitation skills.
  • Proven analytical and research experience.
  • Motivated, self-disciplined, and eager to contribute.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the governance and delivery of portfolio activity.
  • Maintain and improve project management software.
  • Collate and produce key project and portfolio performance reports.
  • Produce and maintain PMO management information dashboards.
  • Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to support delivery and mitigate risks.
  • Assist with identifying key dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Support change control.
  • Carry out quality assurance of project and change delivery.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops.
