We are growing, and we are building the team to grow with us.
The Role
This is an entry-level site role for someone starting their engineering career. You will work under a Project Manager and alongside our Safety Officers and QS, learning how demolition and earthworks sites actually run -from pre-demolition survey through structural dismantling, excavation, disposal and handover.
What You Will Do
On site
- Assist the Project Manager in supervising daily demolition and earthworks activities
- Monitor excavators, breakers and tipper trucks on site; help coordinate sequencing and haul routes
- Check levels and setting-out against drawings under supervision
- Count and record soil and hardcore loads; collect and file disposal tickets
- Track daily manpower and plant on site
Safety
- Attend and help run daily toolbox briefings; keep attendance records
- Support Safety Officers with permit-to-work paperwork and site inspections
- Observe and report unsafe acts, near-misses and incidents
- Help monitor noise, vibration and dust controls on urban sites
Documentation
- Prepare daily site reports and progress photos
- Maintain as-built records, load counts and dumping receipts
- Assist the QS with site measurements for progress claims
- Keep site files in order — drawings, method statements, risk assessments, permits
Coordination
- Attend site meetings with the main contractor and take notes
- Help confirm services disconnection and site clearance before works start
- Liaise with our drivers and dispatch on truck scheduling
