Promotions Co-ordinator

Role reports to: Promotions Operations Manager

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Promotions Operations Manager in executing the promotional campaigns on site according to the Promotions calendar.
• This requires coordination with internal stakeholders in Retail, Marketing, Marketplace, Catalogue and Advertising.
• Communicate the deadlines, requirements and processes of all promotional campaigns. This includes updating all promotional tools and platforms.
• Selecting relevant promotional offers to be highlighted on email newsletters or featured on site for all Promotions.
• Monthly reporting on promotional campaigns using relevant metrics and provide actionable insights to optimise future campaigns.
• Daily monitoring of planned promotional offers for each campaign and following up with relevant stakeholders where needed.
• Using promotional tools and spreadsheets to ensure the quality of our promotional offers meets the requirements and following up with stakeholders where needed.
• This involves checking that the product selection is suitable, product listings are accurate, stock is available and pricing is competitive.
• Resolving queries and escalations from stakeholders.
• Training stakeholders in Retail and Marketplace to use the promotional tools.
• Coordinating with the Design Team to develop compelling and accurate banners for promotional campaigns.
• Ensure that the correct artwork is uploaded on site according to deadlines.
• Compile & maintain the Promotion Operations team monthly work schedule and task distribution in Asana.
• Planning, collaboration & implementation of the additional processes and tasks that are required when executing Anchor campaigns (Black Friday, Fire Sale, TakealotMore Days & Thanksalot Sale).
• Collaborate with the Product Team to improve the Promotional Tools through new feature requests and identifying any bugs
• Accurate and timely activation of promotions with zero errors.
• Post go live quality checks and proactively resolving any queries.

Minimum Required Qualification:

• Degree/Advanced Diploma qualification OR if qualification requirement isn’t met, at least 5 years experience in a high-performance environment in either retail marketing/buying/planning will be required

Minimum Required Experience:

• Experience in retail promotions is highly preferred
• 3+ years in a experience in a high-performance environment in either retail marketing/buying/planning

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Proficient in using Excel and Project Management tools.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative promotional ideas.
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment to strict deadlines
