Description

Social Media Manager, Consumer and Supply Brands

Company: Pronto

Function: Brand Marketing

Level: Manager (mid-senior), 7 - 9 years of experience

Reports to: Head of Brand Marketing

Location: Bengaluru HQ

About the role:

Pronto is building a household name in on-demand home services, and that takes two brands with two audiences. Pronto is the consumer-facing brand that earns a place in people's homes and daily routines. Pronto Professionals is the supply-side brand that attracts, celebrates and retains the service professionals who make the service possible.

We are looking for a Social Media Manager who can build and run social channels for both brands, using paid and earned media. You should understand how brands behave in culture, have a clear point of view on what each platform is for, and be able to articulate why each brand has a right to exist on it.

This is a role for a builder and a thinker, not just a scheduler and reporter. You will set the social playbook for both brands and run it day to day.

If you live social, have a specific POV on how a brand should/could behave online and can translate this thinking into memorable and authentic social content, we want you.

What you will do:

1. Own social strategy for both brands:

- Define the role of social for Pronto (consumer) and Pronto Professionals (supply), including audience, objectives, tone, and how each brand shows up differently while feeling like one family.

- Build platform-by-platform POVs (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp/community channels, and emerging platforms) that spell out why the brand belongs there, what it should and shouldn't do, and what success looks like.

- Translate brand strategy into content pillars, formats and a rhythm of always-on and moment-led content.

2. Build channels across paid and earned media:

- Grow owned channels from the ground up, with clear audience, engagement and community goals.

- Plan and manage paid social alongside performance and media teams, covering creative testing, audience strategy and amplification of organic content that works.

- Drive earned media through creator and influencer partnerships, community advocacy, PR-worthy social moments and culturally relevant participation.

- Build a system where paid and earned reinforce each other, so that earned learnings inform paid creative and paid reach scales earned wins.

3. Play in culture, credibly:

- Track cultural trends, memes, moments and conversations, and decide with judgment which ones the brand should join, adapt or ignore.

- Develop culturally rooted ideas that reflect Indian households, domestic life, aspiration and the dignity of home work.

- Create a real-time response framework covering speed, tone, approval and risk.

4. Build the supply brand's social presence:

- Tell the stories of service professionals with respect and authenticity, covering their craft, growth, earnings potential, safety and community.

- Use social to support recruitment, referral, retention and pride in the Pronto Professionals identity, working with the supply, ops and community teams.

- Manage the tension between employer brand and consumer brand so that neither dilutes the other.

5. Lead creators, agencies and partners:

- Brief and manage content agencies, production partners, creators and freelancers.

- Maintain brand guardrails for both brands, including voice, visual language and do's and don'ts.

- Coach a small in-house or extended team as it grows.

6. Community and reputation management:

- Set the approach to community management, escalation and crisis response, in coordination with customer support and communications.

- Turn social listening into insight for brand, product and service teams.

7. Measure what matters:

- Define a measurement framework linking social activity to brand health, consideration, acquisition (consumer and supply) and community outcomes, beyond vanity metrics.

- Run regular performance reviews, learnings and test-and-learn plans.

What we are looking for:

Experience:

- 6 - 7 years in social media, brand or content roles, at a consumer brand, digital-first or D2C company, marketplace, or agency.

- Demonstrated experience building social channels from low or moderate scale to meaningful growth.

- Hands-on experience running paid social and earned or organic programs together.

- Experience with both B2C and a B2B, B2B2C or supply/community audience is a strong plus.

Skills and mindset:

- Brand thinking: You can articulate a brand's role, voice and right to exist on a platform, and can say no to ideas that don't fit.

- Cultural fluency: You spot cultural signals early, know when brands should play and when they should stay out, and understand India's regional, linguistic and generational nuances.

- Platform expertise: You have a distinct point of view on how each platform's format, algorithm and behavior shape brand engagement.

- Paid and earned fluency: You are comfortable with paid social mechanics (objectives, targeting, creative testing, attribution) and with creator, community and PR-led growth.

- Storytelling craft: You have strong instincts for copy, concept, visual language and video, and can give sharp creative feedback.

- Analytical rigour: You use data to make decisions, and can separate signal from noise.

- Stakeholder management: You work well with brand, performance, product, ops, supply and support teams, and lead agencies without micromanaging.
