A fast growing power generation solutions provider in the Netherlands are looking for a Proposal Engineer to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to apply both your technical expertise and commercial insight to help deliver innovative, reliable power solutions for data centers across Europe.

As a Proposal Engineer, you’ll play a vital part in creating accurate, high-quality technical and commercial proposals. You’ll work closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to turn complex customer requirements into viable, cost-effective solutions.

You’ll combine technical precision with creativity — developing clear concepts, detailed quotations, and technical documentation that help customers feel confident in their energy systems.

What You’ll Do

• Develop initial technical concepts — including visuals — to support communication with customers and guide the commercial process.
• Gather and analyse information from suppliers to design optimal technical solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, both locally and internationally.
• Create detailed technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates, technical specifications, and timelines.
• Work closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure proposals are both technically feasible and cost-effective.
• Maintain clear communication with customers to capture requirements and expectations accurately.
• Continuously improve internal templates and processes to boost efficiency and proposal quality.
• Keep thorough records of all quotations and proposal documentation.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related field.
• Preferably a few years’ experience in a similar role within the energy, emergency power, or industrial systems sector.
• Strong technical understanding of generator and engine systems.
• Analytical problem-solving mindset, ideally with experience in project-based environments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar design software.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to collaborate effectively with account management teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both engineers and business stakeholders.
