RESPONSIBILITIES
Purpose of this role:
This role supports the Props & Wardrobe Units by sourcing, purchasing, collecting, delivering, and transporting props, wardrobe items, and other production-related materials.
Scope of the role:
The role is responsible for meeting production requirements by procuring, collecting, and transporting all necessary props, wardrobe items, and set materials, ensuring that production requirements are fulfilled in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. It involves planning efficient collection and delivery routes, coordinating purchases and deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement and transportation records.
The incumbent is also responsible for the safe handling, loading/unloading, and transportation of items, while providing reliable logistical support to production operations.
Key responsibilities:
Purchasing & Procurement
- Source and purchase props, wardrobe items, fabrics, accessories, and other production materials based on production needs and approved budgets.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and liaise with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchases and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and track borrowed, rented, and purchased items, ensuring proper documentation and returns where required.
- Support the Props, Wardrobe, and Production teams by handling purchases and deliveries, including urgent and last-minute production requests.
Logistics & Transportation
- Collect and deliver props, wardrobe items, costumes, equipment, and other production materials to studios, filming locations, suppliers, and other designated locations.
- Plan efficient collection and delivery routes to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met.
- Load, unload, and transport items safely to prevent damage or loss.
Vehicle Upkeeping & Safety
- Drive company vehicles with care and comply with all traffic regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Conduct basic vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and adequately fuelled. Report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Secondary education or equivalent.
- Able to read and write English and Chinese.
- Possess a valid Class 3/3A driving licence.
- Clean driving record with no history of licence suspensions, including no pending court cases, composition fines (i.e. traffic violations), or unresolved summonses.
- Candidates will be required to submit a Traffic Police MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check record.
- Experience in purchasing, logistics, delivery, or production support are preferred.
- Experience in the media, television, theatre, events, or entertainment industry are an added advantage.
