Propulsion System Architect
Summary
Architects function-level designs for propulsion system features within Stellantis' powertrain controls organization: builds and maintains SysML functional models, traces requirements, and feeds DFMEA, functional safety, OBD diagnostics, and EE/networking constraints while collaborating with vehicle, EE, and network architects.
The System Architect (SA) operates within the Powertrain controls organization and is accountable for the definition, decomposition, and governance of function-level architectures for propulsion systems features. The role ensures all upstream requirements considered to design Function level architecture. Functional architecture defined should be applicable for all product development phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain function-level architectures for all Propulsion System Features.
- Develop and maintain SysML-based functional models (functional blocks, interfaces, use cases, state machines, sequences).
- Use Cases analysis for Propulsion Features
- Define functional interfaces, information exchanges, flows, and signals.
- Translate vehicle, system, and feature requirements into functional requirements with full traceability.
- Provide functional inputs supporting DFMEA, Functional Safety, Diagnostics (OBD), and EE/networking constraints.
- Interface with Vehicle Architects, Feature Architects, Physical Architects, EE Architects, Network Engineers, Product Managers and Product Owners.
