Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Educator, you will be a vital contributor to the planning, coordination, and delivery of essential healthcare-related educational and training programs.Every day, you will actively assist in scheduling and conducting diverse healthcare training programs. You will also provide direct coordination and/or instruction in various educational initiatives, ensuring effective learning experiences for all participants.To be successful in this role, you will combine strong organizational and presentation skills with a deep understanding of healthcare education, a passion for teaching, and the ability to effectively engage and train diverse groups of healthcare professionals and staff.
- Utilizes aggregate data, research, and trends when developing education programs and/or assessing the effectiveness of documentation for area of specialty.
- Provides timely feedback to providers regarding documentation opportunities for improvement and successes.
- Coordinates and conducts regular meeting with HIM Coding Professionals to monitor retrospective query rate and address issues.
- Actively engages Case Management and RAC committee to continually evaluate and spearhead documentation improvement opportunities to reduce denials and support medical necessity.
- Conducts monthly communication with providers/leadership regarding documentation trends that need further documentation specificity.
- Participates in creation, implementation, and evaluation of provider documentation.
*Hybrid role; remote and in office in Phoenix, Arizona
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors of Science
- One (1)+ years clinical coding documentation experience
- Registered Nurse: AZ
Preferred
- Masters of Nursing
- Nursing experience in specialty area
- Two (2) or more years of experience
