About the Role

A facility in Passaic County, in partnership with CFG Health Network, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Per Diem Psychiatrist to provide direct in-person psychiatric care for two community-based teams. This role offers a consistent once-per-week, in-person schedule while supporting adults living with serious mental illness in a recovery-oriented model. This role can be fulfilled by one or two providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing medication management.
  • Deliver medication counseling and psychoeducation in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Work in the field alongside a staff partner to assess and support individuals in community settings (home visits, community sites, etc.).
  • Coordinate care with Bridgeway team members—including clinicians, nurses, and case managers—to ensure comprehensive treatment planning.
  • Participate in team meetings, documentation, and follow-up as needed for continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation in accordance with CFG and Bridgeway standards.
  • Support a recovery-focused, person-centered care model.

Schedule & Structure

  • Total: 14 hours per week
  • All services must be performed in person
  • Some time will be spent in the field conducting community-based evaluations with a staff partner.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry (if finished residency within 5 years).
  • Valid New Jersey medical license and CDS/DEA registrations.
  • Experience with community-based or mobile treatment models preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to recovery-focused, strengths-based care.
