Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and highly skilled Part-Time Psychiatrist (20 hours/week) to join our innovative Crisis Services team. In this in-person daytime role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adults in our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), conducting psychiatric assessments, medication evaluations, medication management, and substance use treatment while partnering with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, prescribers, clinicians, and case managers dedicated to delivering exceptional crisis care. Supported by fellow prescribers who provide coverage during off-hours, you will play a vital role in helping individuals navigate acute mental health and substance use challenges in a state-of-the-art, five-day overnight stabilization program. When CSU census allows, you will also support the Psychiatric Access Clinic, providing timely evaluations and treatment for individuals needing rapid access to care. Schedule. This position is fully Onsite/In-person. The schedule is 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, 2 days/week, specific days are negotiable.

Salary for this role.

Salary is based on 0.5 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 20 hours per week. Fewer than 20 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of licensure and company equity.

  • $122,116.33 - $183,174.485 per annum

Essential Functions:

  • Provide direct medical and psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients assigned, on a regular basis as within the scope of State care.
  • Assure clinicians in assigned services receive appropriate clinical supervision, as necessary.
  • Work with multidisciplinary staff to evaluate and triage according to level of acuity, as needed.
  • Share 24-hour on-call responsibilities with other psychiatrists for residential, outpatient and emergency care, as assigned.
  • Maintain availability by telephone for face-to-face evaluation of emergency patients, as appropriate.
  • Provide utilization review of all patients in continuing care to ensure appropriate medical/psychiatric services are received, as needed.
  • Attend team and other meetings, as necessary.
  • Provide consultation with other physicians and staff on patient care and difficult cases, as needed.
  • Attend continuing medical education conferences to maintain excellent standards of care, on a regular basis.
  • Understand and comply with organizational goals around quality, compliance, standards, and policies.
  • Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
  • Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
  • Accurately and completely document patient care.
  • Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.
