PT EOF Advisor

Role:

The Part-time EOF Advisor is responsible for advising and registering students for courses that will enable them to complete their degree program in a timely fashion. This role also supports recruitment efforts to increase EOF student enrollment at the College.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Access and use college data management systems to maintain student information, advisement contacts, referrals, and program data, as well as prepare an end of semester report and a variety of other reports, as needed.

  • Monitor and track EOF students' academic performance and progress and provide advisement (including e-advisement).

  • Work closely with the Director to contribute to the design, coordination and implementation of effective strategies to assist with EOF student persistence and retention efforts.

  • Maintain an EOF student caseload and advisement schedule campus-wide. Refer students to appropriate resources both on and off campus.

  • Collect and analyze data each semester to use in co-developing and co-facilitating empowering workshop offerings for EOF students.

  • Identify and assist with facilitation and implementation of various workshops on college success to enhance the retention of EOF students

  • Assist with recruitment efforts at both on- and off-campus locations; some evenings and weekends may be required.

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive working relationships with high school guidance counselors, foster care case workers, and other relevant community advocacy groups to help further advance the mission of EOF.

  • Work collaboratively with personnel in Academic Affairs and across the Enrollment Management and Student Success Division.

  • Answer telephones and provide supporting program or college information to students and families.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of financial aid available to students, and assist students as needed through the financial aid process.

  • Attend training programs and serve on campus-wide committees, as required.

  • Travel as needed: college visits, conferences, special trips.

  • Adheres to FERPA and other regulatory guidelines.

  • Other duties as assigned
