Job Summary/Basic Function:

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.

Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.

Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Reports to the Program Chair, Law Enforcement Academy
  • Teaches Law Enforcement Academy classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods
  • Subjects or topics may be related to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Basic Peace Officer Course or Continuing Education
  • Subjects or topics may consist of lectures or application of skills
  • Classes may be scheduled day, evening, or weekends
  • Develops or revises lesson plans, exams, or other curricular

College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.
