PTGAS - Technical-Functional Analyst of Business Applications

About the role

Within the framework of the Information Technology Unit of the Bilbao campus of the University of Deusto, we are looking to hire a person with a technical-functional profile for the coordination of development and maintenance projects for business applications, with a special focus on Oracle (Database, APEX) technologies, but with a transversal vision that allows them to manage solutions in other platforms and contexts.

Their work will be key in the digital transformation of university processes, acting as a bridge between functional users, the internal technical team, and external technology providers.

What you'll do

• Coordination of development, evolution, and maintenance projects for corporate university management applications.
• Liaison with functional units for needs analysis and requirements definition.
• Supervision of technical tasks in Oracle environments (mainly Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and Oracle DB).
• Coordination of internal and external teams (technology partners) ensuring deadlines, quality, and alignment with institutional objectives.
• Control and monitoring of the application lifecycle, from conception to operation and continuous improvement.
• Functional and technical documentation of projects and implemented solutions.

Requirements

• University degree in the field of knowledge.
• Previous experience in management and/or coordination of technological projects, especially in the field of management applications.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle technologies: Oracle Database, Oracle APEX, and PL/SQL.
• Ability to liaise with functional and technical profiles.
• Experience in the coordination of teams and external providers.
• Professional competence in both English and Basque.

Will be valued

• Experience in educational environments: knowledge of the university system (management, teaching, and research areas).
• Knowledge of other application development platforms.
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and continuous integration (CI/CD).
• Experience in data modeling, functional analysis, and documentation.
• Knowledge of legislation regarding personal data protection and security (GDPR, ENS), security standards (ISO 27000), and IT Service Management systems (ITIL).
