PUBLIC RELATIONS & CORPORATE COMMNICATIONS

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Public Relations & Corporate Communications professional to lead and strengthen its global communications, media relations, reputation management and corporate communications function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the organisation’s Public Relations, Earned Media and Corporate Communications Strategy.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, media outlets, podcast hosts and other key influencers.
  • Managing media enquiries, interviews, press releases, media statements, pitches and thought-leadership opportunities.
  • Preparing executives for interviews, speaking engagements and major announcements, including speeches, talking points and briefing materials.
  • Developing clear and consistent messaging for major initiatives, partnerships, products, reports and organisational developments.
  • Leading reputation monitoring and management, identifying emerging risks and opportunities and advising senior leadership.
  • Developing and coordinating crisis communications plans, response protocols, stakeholder messaging and crisis preparedness exercises.
  • Managing internal communications to ensure employees remain informed, aligned and connected to organisational priorities.
  • Coordinating communications with Network Members, Strategic Partners and affiliated organisations.
  • Establishing communication metrics, dashboards and regular reports to measure visibility, credibility, reputation and strategic impact.
  • Managing relationships and performance of external PR agencies and communications partners.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations or journalism.
  • Demonstrated experience leading communications initiatives across multiple countries, regions or global markets.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling and executive communication skills.
  • Strong experience in media relations, reputation management, crisis and issues communications.
  • Proven ability to develop compelling media stories and secure meaningful earned media opportunities.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder management, project management and relationship-building skills.
  • Sound judgement, discretion, initiative and the ability to work independently in a dynamic global environment.
  • Experience in philanthropy, nonprofit services, financial services, fintech, impact investing or international development will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with PR and media monitoring platforms such as Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack or similar tools is desirable.

Work Environment

  • Regular workdays run from roughly 1400–2200 (EAT) to overlap with European and US Eastern Time work hours.
  • Willingness to work more than 8 hours per day as needed during peak periods.
