Public Relations Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Communications
- Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance Asharq’s corporate visibility across MENA and international markets.
- Manage narrative consistency across all communication channels in coordination with the Editorial, Digital, and Marketing teams.
- Draft key corporate messages, press releases, statements, and media responses in Arabic and English.
- Support crisis communication and reputation management, ensuring timely and accurate messaging during sensitive news cycles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, media agencies, and influencers across print, digital, and broadcast sectors.
- Act as the main contact point for media inquiries and ensure professional handling of all press requests.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of press materials, backgrounders, and media kits.
- Monitor press coverage, prepare media reports, and analyze PR campaign effectiveness.
- Lead the planning and execution of media events, press conferences, interviews, and public appearances involving Asharq executives and anchors.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align event messaging with corporate objectives.
- Represent Asharq at key industry events, conferences, and media gatherings when required.
- Collaborate closely with the SRMG corporate communications team to ensure message alignment across group companies.
- Work cross-functionally with editorial, marketing, HR, and production teams to promote company milestones, initiatives, and achievements.
- Support internal communication campaigns that enhance employee engagement and promote organizational values.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in corporate communications or PR, ideally within the media, news, or broadcasting industry.
- Proven experience managing PR campaigns and handling media relations across multiple markets in the GCC and MENA region.
- Excellent bilingual communication skills (Arabic & English) — both written and verbal.
- Strong understanding of the regional media landscape, political context, and cultural sensitivities.
- Experience in crisis management, executive communications, and brand reputation building is essential.
