Public Relations Officer
π― Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between the project team and government authorities, utility agencies, businesses, and the public.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities for construction and transmission cable projects.
- Handle public enquiries, complaints, feedback, and resolve issues promptly.
- Plan and conduct community engagement meetings, briefings, and site visits.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, contractors, and consultants regarding public relations matters.
- Prepare public notices, newsletters, presentations, reports, and communication materials.
- Obtain necessary approvals and coordinate road closures, access arrangements, and public notifications where required.
- Maintain records of stakeholder communications, complaints, and issue resolutions.
- Monitor project activities that may affect nearby residents or businesses and implement mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with client communication protocols and statutory requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
β Qualifications
π Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
πΌ Experience
- Experience as a Public Relations Officer, Community Relations Officer, or Stakeholder Engagement Officer on construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience coordinating with government agencies, utility authorities, contractors, and consultants.
- Strong knowledge of stakeholder management and public communication.
- Experience handling public feedback, complaints, and conflict resolution.
- Experience in utility, power transmission, underground cable, LTA, MRT, or major infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Singapore construction practices and statutory requirements is an advantage.
