Summary

Answer emergency and non-emergency calls, assess situations, and dispatch responders while coordinating with officials and maintaining communication systems at a Marine Corps base.

You will serve as a PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR.

You will receive emergency and nonemergency calls, gather critical information, assess rapidly changing situations, and provide clear instructions that support public safety while maintaining professionalism during highly stressful interactions.

You will communicate effectively with emergency responders, government officials, and the public by documenting incident details, relaying accurate information, and ensuring timely coordination throughout emergency response operations.

You will operate communication systems, monitor alarms, dispatch emergency resources, and verify equipment remains operational while responding promptly to system issues that could affect emergency communications.

You will manage multiple tasks by receiving calls, documenting incident information, retrieving records from computer systems, and maintaining accurate records while supporting simultaneous emergency response activities.

You will evaluate caller information, determine appropriate response actions, document incident progress, and provide accurate updates that improve responder safety and support effective emergency incident management.

You will search local, state, and federal information systems, interpret search results accurately, protect sensitive information, and distribute verified information to authorized personnel in support of emergency operations.
