Publishing Manager
- Oversee the entire publishing process, from brainstorming and ideation to writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Edit and review the work done by the Editorial team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to Company’s guidelines and house styes.
- Responsible for planning, developing, and executing the editorial strategy and vision of a publication.
- Maintains an exceptional high level of quality and accuracy in every book.
- Responsible for the coordination and administration of the entire publication process for books, including sourcing and managing relationships with stakeholders (designers, translators, printers etc).
- Manages the books budget, P&Ls, and finances; meets established revenue goals.
- Manages all book publishing operations such as inventory, reprints, and revisions.
- Negotiating contracts and licensing agreements with authors, distributors and vendors.
- Work closely with sales & marketing, logistics & warehouse, finance department to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to publishing projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Business or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in book publishing
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of the publishing industry and market trends
- Familiarity with publishing software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in marketing and promoting books
- Commitment to diversity and inclusivity in publishing
- Experience in Business Development is necessary with strong market presence
