Location: Hong Kong
Type: 6-month contract

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Publishing Operations Coordinator to support global game publishing initiatives and marketing localisation across both renowned IPs and Nex Originals.

This role will be central to ensuring marketing assets are accurately localised, approved, delivered, and deployed across international markets. You will work closely with the Localisation Program Manager, linguists, localisation vendors, designers, copywriters, legal and publishing stakeholders, as well as external IP partners. You will also support wider publishing operations projects, CMS deployment, workflow automation, and more areas as needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating complex cross-functional workstreams, improving processes, and helping bring game releases to market across multiple regions.

Core Responsibilities:

Marketing Asset Localisation Coordination

  • Own and coordinate the end-to-end publishing-side localisation process for marketing assets once an English game title and logo have been confirmed.
  • Manage localisation workstreams for a range of assets, including marketing copy, key art and images, game titles, logos, store assets, and other publishing materials.
  • Partner closely with the Localisation Program Manager, linguists, localisation vendors, designers, copywriters, legal teams, and broader publishing stakeholders to ensure work is scoped, tracked, reviewed, approved, and delivered on time.
  • Assess the suitability of English game titles for local markets in collaboration with linguists and localisation stakeholders, identifying potential linguistic, cultural, legal, or brand considerations.
  • Coordinate the development, review, and approval of localised game titles and logos, including obtaining required feedback and approval from IP owners or external rights holders where applicable.
  • Lead internal coordination for localisation-related approvals, including legal clearance, brand review, publishing approval, design updates, and vendor handover.
  • Maintain accurate records of localised assets, approvals, naming conventions, version history, and final delivery status.
  • Ensure approved localised assets are distributed to the appropriate internal teams, partners, platforms, and regional stakeholders.

Publishing Project Coordination

  • Support the management of publishing project schedules, tasks, dependencies, and key milestones across game launches and the related marketing initiatives.
  • Track deliverables across multiple workstreams and proactively follow up with internal stakeholders to help ensure deadlines and approvals are met.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, missing dependencies and escalate issues before any crisis occur.
  • Support ad hoc publishing and operational projects as team priorities evolve.
  • Help maintain action trackers, prepare status updates, and ensure decisions and next steps are clearly documented.

CMS Content Deployment

  • Support content localisation, scheduling and deployment through the PlayOS Launcher CMS and other relevant publishing platforms.
  • Coordinate with content owners and publishing stakeholders to ensure CMS content is accurate, fully approved, and deployed according to launch and merchandising timelines.
  • Review CMS entries for copy, image assets, localisation, and metadata before deployment.
  • Maintain clear deployment records and help troubleshoot basic content, asset, or workflow issues in coordination with relevant teams.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Assist in preparing regular publishing operations and localisation status reports.
  • Maintain trackers and dashboards covering asset readiness, localisation progress, approval status, deployment schedules, outstanding actions, and launch milestones.
  • Consolidate information from multiple stakeholders and archive into clear, accurate, and actionable updates for the wider publishing team.
  • Support basic analysis to identify opportunities for operational improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong project coordination or project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, deadlines, and changing priorities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail, particularly when managing assets, approvals, version control, and schedules.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with teams such as creative, design, copywriting, localisation, legal, product, engineering, marketing, or external partners.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly across a global team.
  • Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of follow-ups, and proactively resolving ambiguity or operational blockers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a practical and process-oriented approach.
  • Availability to collaborate across Hong Kong and US Pacific Time working hours when needed. Meeting times will be arranged collaboratively, but flexibility is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating localisation, trans-creation, international marketing, content operations, or global product launches.
  • Experience working with a CMS, digital publishing platform, launcher/storefront CMS, or content deployment workflow.
  • Experience using project-management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Jira, , Google Workspace, Notion, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with localisation asset types, including localised game titles, logos, store copy, screenshots, key art, trailers, and campaign materials.
  • Experience in a startup, technology, gaming, entertainment, or fast-paced international business environment.
  • Basic familiarity with Figma or other creative collaboration tools, or a willingness to learn.
  • Interest in games, game publishing, entertainment IP, and international player communities.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools, spreadsheets, dashboards, or operational reporting is a plus.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Experience working with teams from different cultures and backgrounds
  • You are highly detail-oriented and naturally build structure around complex projects.
  • You can keep multiple stakeholders aligned without losing sight of small but important details, such as approval status, file versions, regional requirements, and deployment timing.
  • You are comfortable operating between multiple teams, helping translate plans into clear actions and deliverables.
  • You are open-minded, resourceful, and creative in solving process or coordination challenges.
  • You can adapt quickly when priorities shift and remain calm in a fast-paced launch environment.
  • You enjoy working with colleagues and partners across different cultures, disciplines, and time zones.
  • You are motivated by improving how work gets done—not only completing tasks, but making future workflows clearer and more efficient.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about project management, gaming, and collaborating with diverse teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. If you are passionate about games, global content, operational excellence, and helping teams deliver high-quality player-facing experiences across markets, we would love to hear from you.
