Purchaser 2, Direct Materials

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase direct materials based on production and business requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, pricing competitiveness, and material availability.
• Negotiate pricing, lead time, and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve cost and operational targets.
• Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support manufacturing operations and resolve supply-related issues.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and process requirements to support material sourcing and supplier selection.
• Monitor supplier performance and support supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain purchasing records, reports, and ERP system data accurately and timely.
• Support cost reduction, localization, and supplier qualification projects.

Job Requirements Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.

Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in direct materials purchasing within manufacturing companies.

Skills

• Good supplier sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Good communication and presentation skills in Vietnamese and English.
• Familiar with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
• High integrity, professionalism, and understanding of purchasing ethics/code of conduct.
