Summary

Oversee construction material procurement, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of quality materials for projects.

We are seeking aproactive and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our growing team. Inthis role, you will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiatingcontracts, managing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely procurement ofquality materials and services at competitive prices to support our constructionprojects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet project and operational requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and service.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and project timelines.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value-driven procurement strategies.
  • Conduct market research to monitor pricing trends, supplier performance, and market developments.
  • Ensure all procured materials and services meet required quality standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve quality or delivery issues promptly.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging procurement trends.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5 years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
  • Good knowledge of construction materials, supplier networks, and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and procurement compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
