Summary

Oversee procurement for a transport and engineering firm: source suppliers, negotiate contracts, track shipments, and keep inventory aligned with business needs.

Job Description

· Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation and procurement execution

· Negotiate contracts, pricing and service agreements to achieve cost efficiency and business objectives

· Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, pricing and invoices

· Forecast purchasing needs and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations

· Analyze market trends and purchasing data to recommend improvements and optimize procurement strategies

· Coordinate inbound shipments from local/overseas suppliers and manage the import documentation

· Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and documentation

· Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulations and quality standards

· Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor


Requirements

· Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field

· Min. 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry

· Knowledge of heavy vehicles, machinery and spare parts is an added advantage

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems

· Excellent negotiation, communication and problem solving skills

· Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines

· Able to work independently in fast-paced and dynamic work environment
