Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading KDM's procurement operations to ensure the timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, services, and equipment that support our manufacturing and business operations. This role oversees vendor relationships, contract negotiations, inventory management, and supply chain performance while partnering closely with Production, Scheduling, Sales, and Finance. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, a focus on cost control, and a commitment to maintaining uninterrupted supply and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2-3 years of equivalent experience, or 5-7 years of progressive purchasing/procurement experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing procurement, vendor relationships, and inventory control.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and contract terms.
• Experience analyzing purchasing data, costs, and inventory levels to support business decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a manufacturing, printing, packaging, or Point-of-Purchase (POP) display environment.
• 8+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management experience.
• Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting, and supply chain risk management.
• Experience leading purchasing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
