The Purchasing Manager is a senior position charged with managing the procurement activities for NorthC group. This role involves developing and implementing purchasing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that all procurement activities align with the company's operational and financial goals. A successful Purchasing manager must possess a blend of strategic thinking, financial acumen, and strong negotiation skills to drive organizational success through effective supply chain management.
The Purchasing manager will report to the CFO.

Responsibilities & Duties

Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure most favorable terms and pricing
Monitor and analyze purchasing trends to forecast future needs
Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors
Oversee the procurement budget and ensure financial efficiency
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to procurement
Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs
Conduct regular market research to stay updated on industry trends
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the purchasing department
Evaluate and improve existing procurement processes
Overseeing the procurement process from start to finish and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of procurement orders



Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
Strong understanding of market dynamics and procurement best practices
Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations
Experience with procurement software and ERP systems
Advanced analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage vendor relationships
Solid understanding of financial principles related to procurement
Ability to make strategic decisions and solve complex problems
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Up-to-date knowledge of purchasing practices and market conditions
