Job Title: Python Backend Developer
Location: Chicago, IL - hybrid onsite
Duration: 6 months API Concepts
Responsibilities
- Understanding of API concepts like REST, SOAP, GraphQL
- Understanding of API Security like OAuth 2.0, JWT token validation
- Experience authoring, maintaining, and refactoring Terraform modules
- Understanding of Azure resource provisioning
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services
- Preferred experience with Azure API Management, Application Gateway (including WAF), Azure Front Door, Key Vault, and monitoring solutions
- Understanding of networking concepts VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, private endpoints
- Proficient in GitHub Actions (workflow authoring, secrets management, environment setup)
- Experience integrating Terraform deployments into CICD pipelines
- Familiarity with automated testing in pipelines
- Ability to write and maintain Python scripts for automation
- Experience with Azure SDKs and REST APIs for resource management
