Position: Python Backend Developer (Middle+)

We are looking for a Python Backend Developer to join a product team building scalable backend services, APIs, and AI-powered integrations.
Tech stack: Python • FastAPI • PostgreSQL • REST API • Docker • Kubernetes • CI/CD • MCP

Responsibilities:

• Develop new backend services and maintain existing ones
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs using FastAPI
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, and queries
• Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain code quality
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices
• Integrate AI capabilities using MCP (Model Context Protocol)
• Optimize application performance and database efficiency
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams

Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial experience in backend development
• Strong knowledge of Python and FastAPI
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, indexing, and migrations
• Experience with pytest, unit and integration testing, and TDD principles
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of REST API design principles and application security
• Git and collaborative development practices
• Proficiency in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with MCP and AI tool/agent integrations
• Async Python (asyncio, async SQLAlchemy)
• SQLAlchemy and Alembic
• Message brokers and queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Caching solutions (Redis, Memcached)
