We're working with a leading technology-driven trading firm that is hiring a Data focused Python Engineer for a business-critical engineering function.

The Role
You will work on complex data-intensive problems, building scalable backend services and data processing solutions that help the business manage, analyse, and act on large volumes of information in real time.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Python-based applications and services
- Build scalable data processing pipelines and backend systems
- Work with large, complex datasets to generate insights and improve operational efficiency
- Develop tooling and automation to support critical business workflows
- Collaborate with engineering, operations and business stakeholders globally
- Contribute to the architecture and evolution of core data platforms
Requirements
- Experience working with large-scale data processing systems
- Exposure to modern data technologies such as Spark, Databricks or similar distributed computing frameworks
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for hands-on engineering
- Experience working within complex, data-rich environments

- Experience supporting operational, data, risk or control-related workflows
- Exposure to trade lifecycle, transaction processing or large-scale operational platforms
