Build and maintain Python-based data pipelines and services using Kafka, Hadoop, Docker, and Kubernetes, ensuring scalable ingestion, processing, and secure storage for production systems.

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!
Experience: 8-10 years.
Hybrid: 2/3 days in the office.

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer cum data engineer with expertise in Python Developer and data engineer to join our dynamic team.
Qualification & Experience
- Understand the agile startup methodology and comfortable to work this way
- Contribute to sufficient up to date documentation
- Contribute to continuous delivery (Jenkins/ArgoCD/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions)
- Contribute to preventing technical debt
- More than 3yrs of experience with Python software development
- Experience with unit testing in Python
- Experience with data ingestion, data storage, data processing and data security principles at scale
- Demonstrable engineering experience with a largely Open-Source environment.
- Technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop ecosystems (HDFS, Hive, Impala), Git, Jenkins, Docker Kubernetes are no mystery to you
- This role can be filled by developers who have experience with building software solutions from development to production, and have hands-on experience with for example debugging, log analysis and other operations-related activities for running and maintaining software solutions.
- A person filling in a medior role is expected to be able to work autonomously but will be provided support whenever necessary to learn on the job and grow in experience and skill set.
