Python Developer (Cybersecurity)
Summary
Develop Python integrations for Enterprise HSM and Key Management Solutions, build tooling/AI agents for cybersecurity analysis, and handle DevSecOps/CI-CD tasks on a 12-month contract in Montreal. Core tech: Python, Bash, Linux, CI/CD, REST APIs.

Responsibilities
- Develop integrations for Enterprise HSM and Key Management Solutions.
- Implement tooling or AI agents for operational enablement and cybersecurity analysis and remediation.
- Perform service delivery and DevSecOps tasks, including CICD.
- Develop testing frameworks and suites.
- Troubleshoot issues and participate in on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with the squad and wider Technology stakeholders.
- Enforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of development experience with Python in enterprise or industrial contexts.
- Strong knowledge of Python libraries such as requests, json, logging, argparse, subprocess, pandas, pytest.
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with Bash/Shell scripting.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience working with Linux environments.
- Experience with Git version control and CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Understanding of vulnerability management, remediation workflows, and secure software development practices.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with a collaborative approach.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise Hardware Security Modules, preferably Thales Luna HSM and Luna client; Familiarity with PKCS#11 or enterprise Cryptographic services.
- Experience with enterprise Key Management Solutions, preferably Thales CipherTrust Manager.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
- Experience in modern observability and monitoring technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with reliability best practices, such as SLOs, incident response, observability engineering.
- Experience with cybersecurity practices, such as encryption at rest and in transit, secret management, CVE remediation, authentication/authorization, and PKI.
