Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems leveraging modern cloud-native and microservices-based architectures. This role focuses on developing robust RESTful APIs, building containerized applications, and deploying solutions on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Python development, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures, along with hands‑on experience in containerization and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Python
- Build and maintain enterprise‑grade microservices architectures
- Develop and manage event‑driven applications using Kafka or Pub/Sub systems
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, SSO)
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms
- Design and integrate with relational and NoSQL databases
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and distributed environments
Required Skills & Experience:
Core Development
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development
- Experience building REST APIs and web services
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
Cloud‑Native & Containerization
- Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Understanding of cloud‑native application design principles
- Experience with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka and Pub/Sub frameworks
- Knowledge of asynchronous processing and event‑driven system design
Security & Identity
- Experience implementing OAuth 2.0 and Single Sign‑On (SSO)
- Strong understanding of secure API design and authentication workflows
Database & Persistence
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Ability to design efficient data models and optimize queries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with distributed systems and high‑throughput applications
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with service mesh, observability, and API gateways
- Experience in OpenShift‑based enterprise environments
