2. Job Summary

We are looking for a Python Developer based in Hyderabad with 24 years of experience to build and maintain software that connects with industrial equipment. You will develop Python and Flask applications, integrate them with PLCs, sensors, HMIs, and OPC servers, manage databases, and support commissioning at customer sites.

3. Key Responsibilities

A. Application Development

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Python applications as per project specifications and customer requirements.
• Build web applications using Flask, with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for the interface.
• Write clean, reusable, well-documented code, and create unit tests to maintain quality.
• Troubleshoot defects and improve application reliability and performance.

B. Industrial Integration

• Integrate Python applications with PLCs (especially Mitsubishi), sensors, HMIs, and OPC servers.
• Implement and troubleshoot OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT, and TCP/IP communication.
• Read and understand PLC ladder logic to support software–hardware integration.
• Diagnose communication failures between applications, controllers, and connected devices.

C. Database Management

• Design and maintain database schemas for application and reporting needs.
• Write queries for storing, retrieving, and processing data in PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability.

D. Testing and Version Control

• Use Git for source control and follow team coding standards.
• Support performance testing, validation, and defect resolution during development and deployment.

E. Commissioning and Support

• Support software installation, deployment, and commissioning, including at customer sites.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare software documentation, technical reports, and customer handover documents.

Preferred candidate profile

4. Required Skills (Must Have)

1. Strong Python programming, debugging, and unit testing

2. Flask (or another Python web framework, with willingness to work in Flask)

3. RDBMS fundamentals and hands-on PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server

4. Working knowledge of OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT, and TCP/IP

5. HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

6. Understanding of PLC ladder logic

7. Understanding of industrial automation systems and network architecture

8. Git version control

5. Good to Have

• Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs (GX Works, MC Protocol)
• Exposure to SCADA/HMI systems
• Python libraries for industrial protocols (e.g., pymodbus, asyncua, paho-mqtt)
• Linux basics, Docker, or Pandas for data handling
• Prior experience in commissioning or customer-site support
