Just Digital People are looking for an experienced Python/Django Developer to join an established Australian not-for-profit organisation on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is an opportunity to work on software that has a genuine social impact, helping build and maintain digital products and services used across the community sector. You'll be joining a collaborative technology team where you'll have the opportunity to work across meaningful projects while contributing to a modern, open-source focused environment.
The role would suit a developer who enjoys hands-on development, solving problems and working collaboratively with other developers and stakeholders.


What you will ideally bring:
  • Strong commercial experience with Python and Django
  • Solid experience building and maintaining web applications
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience working with REST APIs and web services
  • Experience with Git and modern development practices
  • Exposure to Docker and Linux environments
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A genuine interest in using technology to create positive social impact
