Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and RESTful APIs using Python and Django (Django REST Framework).
- Build and optimize data models, queries, and database interactions for performance and reliability.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on Azure services such as App Service, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, Service Bus, and Azure SQL.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) for automated build, test, and release.
- Write clean, testable, well-documented code and maintain strong unit and integration test coverage.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning; mentor junior developers where needed.
- Troubleshoot production issues, improve system performance, and uphold security best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver features on schedule.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of professional experience in Python development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
- Working experience with Microsoft Azure: App Service, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server) and ORM-based query optimization.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs with authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT).
- Proficiency with Git, code review practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of OOP, design patterns, data structures, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience writing automated tests (pytest or unittest).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote team.
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Good to Have:
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Knowledge of Celery, Redis, or message queues for asynchronous processing.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
- Exposure to microservices architecture, caching strategies, and application monitoring (Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
- Azure certifications such as AZ-204 or AZ-900.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
