Project Description
Our client, a leading enterprise financial services firm, is seeking a Python Developer to build quant algorithms supporting tax-advantaged taxable bond SMA products and related advisor-facing analytics tools (automated transition analysis, proposal generation, trade rationales, and transition scorecards).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine Python-based quant algorithms for financial applications
  • Build back-end systems integrating with SQL Server/Oracle, REST APIs, and microservices
  • Apply statistical and mathematical methods to optimize financial algorithms
  • Support SDLC activities including testing, deployment, and performance optimization

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong Python programming, back-end focused
  • OOP and design pattern fundamentals (C# a plus)
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, REST APIs, microservices
  • Strong quantitative/statistical skills; NumPy, Pandas, linear algebra, optimization methods

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Azure (CI/CD, Kubernetes, Data Factory, Docker) or AWS equivalent
  • Parallel programming/multiprocessing/cloud experience
