Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong web application development experience to join a technology team within a leading financial services organisation.
The role will involve developing and enhancing enterprise-grade applications supporting business-critical functions. Experience within Global Markets, particularly front-office trading or risk systems, would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance enterprise-grade applications using Python.
- Build web applications and user interfaces using ReactJS.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and WebSockets.
- Perform data analysis and processing using NumPy and Pandas.
- Contribute to architecture, system design and technical solutioning.
- Work closely with business, technology and other engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for performance, reliability and maintainability.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience as a Python Developer / Software Engineer.
- Deep knowledge of Python, NumPy and Pandas.
- Strong experience with REST APIs and WebSockets.
- Good hands-on experience with ReactJS / web frontend development.
- Proven experience working on complex, enterprise-grade systems — this is essential.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
- Financial Services / Banking experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Global Markets, particularly front-office trading and/or risk systems, would be an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
