Python Developer SQL - Market Data

As a Python Dev you will build and optimize a data platform for high-quality, reliable data delivery in a financial setting. You’ll shape implementations across the full lifecycle and work with cross-functional teams to improve microservices, ETL processes, and data tooling. You’ll strengthen infrastructure, observability, and disaster recovery while keeping operations stable on Windows and Linux. This role offers impact through scalable data platforms and proactive problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

• Develop and optimize the data platform, ensuring high standards across design, implementation, testing, and CI/CD
• Focus on data quality and operational reliability across technologies including microservices, ETL processes and Excel add-ins
• Improve underlying software infrastructure, including Infrastructure as Code, disaster recovery and observability
• Manage logs, alerts and monitoring; support Windows and Linux servers; handle backups and replication
• Support ongoing platform operation, monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and provide user support

• Strong backend development experience with Python
• Experience with financial or market data
• Experience designing and operating data-intensive distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and columnar databases
• Willingness to take ownership across the full development lifecycle
• Collaborative and pragmatic with stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor in STEM (2.1 or above)
• Likely to have studied to MSc
