Summary
Builds asynchronous REST APIs with Python, FastAPI, and Pydantic for a fintech/lending platform, integrating banking, GST, credit bureau, and Account Aggregator APIs. Day to day also involves Celery/Redis/Temporal background jobs, MongoDB/PostgreSQL work, secure auth and reconciliation, tests, and Docker deployments.
Role & responsibilities
- Develop asynchronous REST APIs using Python, FastAPI and Pydantic.
- Integrate third-party financial services, banking APIs, GST, credit bureau and Account Aggregator platforms.
- Build background jobs and workflows using Celery, Redis and Temporal.
- Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL for database design and optimization.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, webhooks, retries and transaction reconciliation.
- Write automated tests, debug production issues and support Docker deployments.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong Python, FastAPI, REST APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Hands-on MongoDB and working knowledge of SQL databases.
- Experience with Celery, Redis, webhooks and third-party API integrations.
- Knowledge of API security, Git, Docker, Linux and automated testing.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or Codex.
Good to Have: Fintech, lending/NBFC, Account Aggregator, Temporal, AWS, payment gateways and financial data integrations.
