An innovative cloud-native FinTech is looking for a Python Engineer to design and build real time platforms used within highly specialised financial markets (no need for Finance background). You will take ownership of features from concept to production, solving complex distributed systems problems within an AI adopted space.
They are not just using AI in the basic way. They have actually established highly customised AI tools and systems internally. They want those who are young and hungry to grow as they are currently a young team that has succeeded massively in a short time.
Their models allows investment managers to have automated and sped up processes in a highly competitive financial services niche. However, what is really nice about this opportunity is the fact that you do not need Finance experience. Their last few hires were outside of Financial Services and they are open to just strong overall engineers.
What You Will Do:
- Design scalable APIs and high-performance microservices
- Build and implement Python applications using AI Assisted Development
- Optimise data layers and query performance within PostgreSQL relational databases.
- Deploy, scale, and maintain distributed backend systems containerised via Docker and orchestrated within Kubernetes environments.
What We Are Looking For:
- Backend Engineering Experience: Strong track record of writing production grade, asynchronous Python code
- System Design Expertise: Solid understanding of software architecture, data modeling, and RESTful API design patterns.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with containerised workflows using Kubernetes and cloud environments
